What is Climate Law Database?

Climate Law Database provides you with information about climate change legislation, both existing and proposed, and gives you access to a wide range of related materials.

The section Database provides questions and answers relating to the idea, compliance, content and enforcement of the climate change laws.
In the Library you can find wide range of documents divided into following categories – laws, EU documents, national campaigns and materials and other resources.
The Links presents a collection of useful information sources available on the Internet.

Why Climate Law Database?

Global climate change is one of the most serious problems mankind currently tackles and to avoid the most serious consequences, it will be necessary, among other things, to fundamentally reassess the methods by which we obtain and use energy.

With its legal know-how, Environmental Law Service in cooperation with Justice&Environment and other partners, desires to contribute to the creation of a legal environment that leads to a systematic decrease of greenhouse gas emissions, along with the development of renewable energy sources.

Therefore we introduce this database to the interested public, campaigners, academics and anyone who would like to learn about climate change legislation. Our aim is to provide collected information and materials that deal with the climate change legislation in the most comprehensible way possible, and thus stimulate the discussion about it. On this website you can find information and materials mainly from the European perspective.

We would like to thank all who have helped us, who have shared their knowledge and provided us with their materials and documents.
